My friend introduced me to Creed a few years ago. Best gift she ever gave me. What a sad day... with the core of Creed ,including the former bass player, reuniting to form a new band, it seems to me the problem is with Stapp. Sad because I adore him and his music. He's been through crap the past few years, including a psycho ex-wife.
A sad day indeed.

I was a Creed hater until my girlfriend dragged me to their concert last summer. One of the best live bands I've seen. Glad I got the chance.

I listen to AM (talk) radio almost exclusively in my car.
Here at work, I usually listen to an internet radio station that plays "alternative" rock.

Chicks loved Journey (in the late 70's and early 80's), and Steve Perry's voice was pretty darn high-pitched. Steve Perry was/is a girl.

I've never been a huge Rush fan, but after hearing a lot of them in Canada a few years ago (due to the Canadian-content rules on the radio up there), I decided that "Time Stand Still" is one fantastic tune.

I hardly think Creed's music is cookie cutter. Some of it is pretty dark. Stapp's lyrics can be utterly brilliant. Many of their songs are Christian-theme based. The song 'One' is firmly against affirmative action. Don't let the band image fool you. The music was damn good. Their concerts were incredible. The last Creed concert I was at, Stapp stopped singing and let the audience sing. As a chick, to hear that man guys at a concert singing 'One Last Breath' was amazing.

Same thing for me, Wolfie. I was indifferent until I saw them live. I fell in love.

I wish there'd been a Creed video for Beavis and Butthead to critique during their show's run.
I can only imagine poor Beavis' reaction.

I'm a big Rush fan pre-Signals as well. (I forgot about Signals, I was thinking GUP).
"Farewell to Kings" is prolly my favorite.

AMEN!!!
Even now, Rush still sounds better than 90% of the other *bands* out there.

Some of it is pretty dark.Their early stuff (My Own Prison) was dark themed, but seemed to go more mainstream on thier other two albums. Personally, I really liked Creed, they were terrific live and lyrically sound but I guess all good things must come to an end...sadly.
To: Constitution Day
Precisely ;-)
I was too lazy to search for it...
