I don't see where Kaplan's coming from. How does the Tenet departure show that Bush's fortunes are declining?

They see what they want to see and interpret they way they feel will damage Bush,no matter how ridiculous it is.

Agreed. Tenet's departure, aside from the expected Bush-bashing book deal and the quagmire of getting a new director appointed without Democrat obstruction, gets rid of more Clintonian deadwood.

How does the Tenet departure show that Bush's fortunes are declining? Here's how: First, smoke a couple blunts, then drink 2 rumrunners. Look at the clock. Add 5 minutes to it. That's the time your article is due. Start typing a story about a President you hate.

The Tenet resignation shows what happens when Dems get their wish. Many had called for his resignation, now that they have it, they think they smell blood in the water, and are crying for more, accusing the admin of using Tenet as a strawdog.

It is 5 months until the election. Any mud they can, they are going to sling. Lies, deceptions, half-truths, whatever they can find.
It will get worse at the election nears.

Is this how they're going to be wasting ink over the next five months? Once again, they are attacking Bush with innuendo because they can't think of a good thing to say about Kerry. Have you noticed, they can't even imply that Kerry would be better or at least different. Bush has weathered a terrible couple of months--he hasn't really started the campaign yet because he doesn't want to peak too early. I see a number of important events lining up every other week until November that will keep POTUS on the front page looking very Presidential.
Just look at this week, visit the Pope, give him the Medal of Freedom from Congress, visit Italian WWII monuments, go to Normandy with all of the European Heads of State, watch our Vets given France's highest medal for their courage and sacrifice, host the G-8 here in America, invite the new Iraqi PM to attend and plead his case.
And what's Kerry going to be up to??----UUMM--who cares.

The left are desperate for a Bush collapse and every event that takes place from now until the election will be Bush's so called "collapse."
Everything that the left has tried to pin on W has not stuck and they are desperate.

The left's desperation seems to have increased exponentially of late. Maybe because Bush survived Abu Grahf and the economy is booming?
