I was raised a Roman Catholic. Although I have not been an adherent of any particular organized religion as an adult, I am outraged at the pope's bilge against our President and our country. I'm beginning to hate most of Europe and think it wasn't worth our blood and treasure to save in WWI and WWII, nor to protect during the Cold War.

Considering the way too damn many Americans are today I am beginning to wonder if it is worth the sacrifices our military is making in the Middle East and Afganistan

What are you talking about. The pope said, "God bless America" then thanked us for liberating Italy and for our humanitarian aid to Africa.

Whatever he said to the president in private should be just that, private.
