I realize that, which is why it won't be an African or an Asian - and almost definitely not Arinze in any case. The Europeans don't want a conservative, and they don't want another 'activist' Pope. They also don't want a schism with the American Catholics and they don't want to depress Catholicism any further in Europe - because those two Continents is where all the big money comes from.
