The Elian Gonzalez fiasco is one of the most misunderstood ruse perpetrated by Bubba and his wench ever. I still know hard core conservatives that think that "Elian should have been returned to his father." They still don't realize that he was returned to Cuba to be a lifelong pawn of Castro, sickening.

That's crap.
Clinton did just TWO very good things in his Presidency.
1) Bomb Kosovo
2) Return Elian Gonzalex to his father.
And don't bother replying...

It's very simple. Al Gore is moving "around the bend." It's sad to see a human being make a spectacle of himself this way. His behavior also reminds me that God was with us the day that George Bush won the election.

I wouldn't let him near any bulldozers either!

"Gore...called Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas ``the single most treacherous and dishonest person I dealt with during the campaign anywhere in America.''
Wait - I thought Bush was the most dishonest traitor in America.
Gore is irrational, and the Dems have trotted him out to show solidarity with their base of leftie loonies.
They can't have Kerry do it, but they can't afford to lose the loonies. So they have trotted out head loony #1. Thank God for those 500+ voters in Florida. If not for them, he would be president.

This is hilarious, but so rediculous, that it seems unreal. Maybe this is democrat strategy, this "anti-endorsement" by a liberal democrat like Gore is intended to actually REINFORCE Pinelas among the conservative Cubans down here. A "rally around our guy" sort of thing, a "hey, if Gore hates him, maybe he ain't that bad" kind of thing... are they that crafty, those Dems? Hmmmm...

Why not? I can stand the fact that someone doesn't agree with me without calling it "crap". How about you?

To the best of my memory Elians' father Juan was in on the smuggling attempt to get Elian and his mother-- Juan Gonzalez's ex wife to Miami. Like most Cubans living in Cuba he,Juan, wanted a better life for his son even if it meant living with his ex-wifes family. Juan even called his ex-relatives from Cuba to see if Elian made it o.k. After the story assumed a life of it's own with Elian being saved by the porpoises after days at sea and his mom dying in the process Castro couldn't stand the bad press so he "changed Juan's mind" as only Castro can by threating every relative in Cuba and Miami that Juan had or ever would have. Juan then became "a hardercore member of the revolution" even though he did have a govt. job at the time. But the truth remains Elian never was anything but a propaganda pawn for Castro and was reportedly drugged from the moment he hit Cuban soil and even today remains a pawn of Fidel.

It is sad that Bore continues blaming everyone but himself for his mistakes.

Elian became an issue whent he Cubans in Seattle held up signs with pictures of Elain stating "This is the result of Castros's Revolutuion?" His reps at the WTO reported back to Castro this embaressment and the rest is history...

If Al Gore ran for President he would have been the 'rat nominee. (Damn)
To: Bahbah
I have dozens of Cuban friends and know many members of the local media and that was pretty much the take, no one in Miami will every forget the feds breaking into the house to remove Elian--shades of the Castro regime they hate.
