Sen. John Kerry's wife began her speech nearly an hour late, and those who remained were treated to an often-rambling missive delivered just above a whisper.

Style note: "Rambling" is journalist-speak for "rantings of a whackjob."

Thank you for posting this hilarious story. She is crazy and this will not be the last gaffe she makes if John will let her out on the speechifying circuit again.

Most high-ranking officials had already taken off before Sen. John Kerry's wife began her speech nearly an hour late, and those who remained were treated to an often-rambling missive delivered just above a whisper.

How dare these little people question or comment that she was late. I'm sure Queen Ta-RA-za was doing something really important, like getting her the family's SUV detailed.

I wonder if she muffed it on purpose (maybe subconsciously) - so she won't have to do it again. Many a husband has pretended to do a bad job with diapering babies for the same reason.

A particularly uncomfortable moment came when the ketchup heiress commented that if her late husband, Republican Sen. John Heinz of Pennsylvania, were still alive, he likely would have been at the dinner supporting her current husband. The morbid moment was met with uncomfortable silence.

Ewwwwww. What an insult to her late husband!

I'm fairly certain that if John Heinz were alive today, JF'nK would not be running for President.

Freepers involve your children in speech competitions. Get they used to speaking in public.
