WASHINGTON - Ronald Reagan loved Virginia's history and "could recount every campaign" in which Confederate Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson fought, according to Sen. John W. Warner.
One chat about such Civil War history led Reagan to tell how he leveraged his role in a movie set at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington with a cavalry colonel, the Virginia Republican said yesterday.
