Scientology link to public schools
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 06/09/04 | Nanette Asimov

Posted on 06/09/2004 5:57:43 AM PDT by Pokey78

As early as the third grade, students in S.F. and elsewhere are subtly introduced to church's concepts via anti-drug teachings

A popular anti-drug program provided free to schools in San Francisco and elsewhere teaches concepts straight out of the Church of Scientology, including medical theories that some addiction experts described as "irresponsible" and "pseudoscience."

As a result, students are being introduced to somebeliefs and methods of Scientology without their knowledge.

Anyone listening to a classroom talk by Narconon Drug Prevention & Education is unlikely to recognize the connection with Scientology; the lessons sound nothing like theology. Instruction is delivered in language purged of most church parlance, but includes "all the Scientology and Dianetics Handbook basics," according to Scientology correspondence obtained by The Chronicle.

The Chronicle might want to further investigate the many companies that use $cientology techniques in training management. They might be surprised.

It is so sad the things that are intentionally left out and put into textbooks. They are anti-western and pro- whatever the political favor of the year is. Also they are paid off at times to put certain things into the texts. The link below is about pro-muslim, anti-christian and jewish history book in the US. Funded by Saudi.

There are many more examples of this. Is it any wonder we no longer feel like a cohesive nation.

Narconon's connection to Scientology goes back at least to 1973, when I watched one meeting.

Proof that a stopped, broken and ugly clock is right twice a day.

This is NOT in support of Scientology at all - I loathe and detest its very essence, L.Ron Hubbard its founder considered Aleister Crowley - a practicer of black "witch craft" and admitted pedophile - as his mentor, and it went downhill from there.

But drugging kids with Ritalin and now anti-depressents is just as evil as Scientology.

If kids can't sit still in school, here's four ideas to toss in:

1. Throw away the TV, and after a month you'd be amazed how much calmer your kids are. It's not just the content (although that's bad enough) it's the method of presentation and the hours of sitting there.

2. Stop feeding them junk food - anything with preservatives, artifical flavors and colors.

3. Make sure they can play outside a lot.

4. Maybe sitting still for hours isn't the best way to teach all kids, especially boys or energetic children.

With all the drugging of school children that goes on in this country, I do have to wonder what it took to get an anti-drug message into the schools.

The Scientologist have also been the biggest critic of using Ritalin on children.

I hate drunk drivers. MADD hates drunk drivers. That doesn't mean I base ny beliefs on teachings from MADD.
