Actually, this was a 'dry run' for security. I'm sure you will be safe...maybe safer than other places in the US. I'm glad you get to go.

We will be going to DC and taking my daughter before she leaves for AF basic training this fall. DC is my favorite place in the states to visit..can't wait.

Let me rephrase that....turned out to be a 'dry run'. The security forces are doing a great job. Bless them all.
