That's the way Rush has explained it. They promised to cut spending if taxes were raised. Taxes were raised, then the RATS pumped out lots of pork, then blamed the Republican President for the deficit. They are, and continue to be, bastards!

Yes .. I think that's the game they're playing. However, legal documents discredit that theory.

My mom, who was a democrat for 70 years said just today .. John Kennedy must be turning over in his grave every time Ted opens his mouth.

I think Kennedy's reasoning goes like this: "The President is allowed to make recess appointments. Bush really didn't win in 2000. He's therefore not the legitimate President. Therefore, the appointment is unconstitutional."

If Kennedy fails to make that argument could it then be argued that he is therefore accepting that Bush won and is legally the President? In fact, if he has worked with Bush on any issue, law, or program, is he not therefore demonstrating recognition and acceptance of Bush as President?

Inquiring minds want to know...
