Well first thing, I am not sure that I buy the "I was a Republican but ..." thing. Sounds too much like those phonebank callers to C-SPAN.

I am not sure that Click-It Or Ticket laws are solely the province of Republicans. Neither are DWI laws (does he really want people driving drunk, or high?) The War Against Tobacco is almost entirely an invention of the Left.

The writer talks about fiscal conservatism and deficits. Deficits are a problem, but it is a spending problem. We do not have a fiscal crisis; we have a spending crisis, at all levels of government. Will the Democrats actually cut spending, or are they only interested in rolling back tax cuts?

"Spending a small amount of money at the right time may save a lot ..."
That is what Bush's war on terrorism aims to achieve. Spend a small amount of blood and treasure now rather than spill a lot of blood later. Are the Democrats willing to invest in the future, or are they just trying to score cheap points?

Most of the money actually goes to the middle class people that hand it out. The system itself takes most of the money to run itself. But this is not necessarily bad when done appropriately. It ultimately makes for a stable middle class, which is after all, the backbone of any successful nation.
What we are talking about here is a permanent parasitic class. A class of people interested, not in the production of value, but in self-perpetuation. They may earn middle-class salaries, but will not have interests aligned with the productive middle classes. The middle class is the backbone of societies because they strive and they produce, not what is likely for the kind of people who are happy to operate the welfare systems.

If I really believed that the Democrat Party would respect individual rights, cut my taxes, run a frugal government and give us a strong military, I would vote for them. However, I do not believe that the Democrats will do any of those. I also do not believe the writer ever was a Republican (well maybe he voted for John Anderson or Jumpin' Jim Jeffords or someone of that ilk).

Me too. I would vote for them in a minute.

But, the Democrats are aristocrats as well. These rich landbarrons want to tell us "serfs" what we can do. They are the former KKK group who want the slaves to do all their work, while they take the credit!

They want all kinds of social programs, but they want us to work for them, and pay for them, while they sit around and gather accolades! We work in the mire and the muck, while they drink champagne at cocktail parties! We struggle to meet our bills, get our kids a bike at the second hand store, and fix it up, while they ride $7,000 bicycles!

It is utterly disgusting.

This joker talks about freedom, yet can he not see that Democratically appointed judges have taken the freedom of self rule away from the American people?!

In 1973 the Supreme Court imposed a law on the United States which was not brought forth by the people, nor proposed by their duly elected representatives. The court has continued to remove our right of self rule and impose their Tryranical opinons on Americans, when they void laws which the people have proposed and their representatives have passed.

Because of Democrats, today the government IS NOT BALANCED. We have less freedom and more bondage. These aristocrats feel that we are too stupid to rule ourselves.

Because of Democrats we are not free to even THINK contrary to their opinions. Now they have outlawed FREE THOUGHT! They outlaw our thoughts and call it "hate crimes".
