Oh no! May God rest his soul, comfort his family and steel the resolve of civilized people to make this insanity STOP
Actually, I think Mr. Kim's capture and threat of beheading serves a dual purpose: it is meant to influence Korea's decision to send troops or not (which I hear this morning they are backing off that demand); but the ultimate goal in each of these horrific situations seems to be to show the US just how much they view us as "The Great Satan."
Also, the vast majority of Koreans speak English as a second language. http://www.provcomm.net/pages/joe/teaching_english.htm
Oh no. The beheaded him. Oh shit!
Dear Labrinthos-
I just got on board- almost 1:30 PM EST- could you please tell me more?
I'm in CT at the moment.
Any major updates?
"The larger threat of a multiple attack right now is missiles sourced from the same state-sponsors of terror that enable the terrorists."
I agree. Also, check out information about the Cuba-AQ-Russia link. I will try to post more on that later, after I catch up.
Three Mile Island is slightly south and east of HBG- I think...possibly it has been placed back on high alert?
Cows- reminded me of the death of calves in Connecticut
Hmmm- they are upping the ante
Yesterday, a different group said that the threat of a dirty bomb attack was real and imminent.
Now today it has been upgraded to an attack using "nuclear weapons"- and again being real and imminent.
Why are you surprised? The pattern is clear. Abduct a victim. Make an impossible demand with an impossible deadline. Deadline passes and off with the head. The media follows up with splashy headlines and the net follows up with links to the video. I expect every single victim of kidnap and threat of beheading to be killed.
Too bad we don't have the fortitude to level 10 mosques for each beheading.
I can still hear him pleading for his life. This is so tragic.

Unfortunately, I still think they gave the general go- that could be observed by all of their followers- via the transit of Venus.
EOM confirmed on the 9th that the final orders were given.
Jill's posts pointed to the 17th as the beginning of "the chaos"
and as the "23rd" as the "expected hit on America."
I fear we will be seeing vast intensification of terror incidents within the next 24-48 hours. AQ is going to want us to have to be dealing with multiple attacks at the same time.
My ping to you was in reference to Post No. 3327, where Lightlike reported military aircraft in the vicinity of Harrisburg, PA, at approximately 9:00 a.m. today. I was just checking if you had seen or heard anything.
Meanwhile, things seem to be intensifying across the various conflicts that we have been following.

MOSCOW BACKS PYONGYANG AT SIX-SIDED TALKS IN BEIJING
BEIJING, June 22 (RIA Novosti)
Russia considers that North Korea's position at the six-sided talks in Beijing on Pyongyang's nuclear settlement in logical, Russian chief delegate, ambassador at large Alexander Alekseyev said on Tuesday.
North Korea confirmed its previous position to freeze nuclear programs in exchange for compensation for energetic losses, Mr. Alekseyev said following the bilateral meeting with North Korean chief delegate Kim Kyo Gwang.
"We understand the logic of this position and will try to combine various stands with U.S., Japanese, South Korean and Chinese counterparts," Alexander Alekseyev noted.
The Russian and North Korean diplomats agreed to cooperate during the third round of the six-sided talks opening on Wednesday to achieve compromises, the Russian chief delegate concluded.

I'll be back later. This is awful.
Suspicious package closes subway stations

Several Brooklyn subway stations were closed during this morning's rush as police investigated a suspicious package later determined to be harmless.
Authorities responded at 9:21 a.m. to a call of an unattended bag left at the Long Island Rail Road section of the Atlantic Avenue terminal. Initially, subways bypassed the station. But at 10:11, trains were redirected to avoid downtown Brooklyn entirely as the station was cleared.
Bomb Squad detectives opened the suitcase and determined that someone had left it behind.
Normal subway service resumed at 10:39 a.m.
It was not immediately clear whether L.I.R.R. trains were bypassed, according to rail road spokesman Brian Dolan.

Sorry, I didn't realize I typed foul language.
Yes, I'm still surprised. This whole terroristic lifestyle is still hard to accept.
