The range of possibilities, as described by three intelligence officials, include releasing an undetectable biological agent such as smallpox or anthrax on board a plane that passengers would then unknowingly spread; releasing a chemical agent to debilitate the passengers and crew so the plane could be hijacked; and sneaking a radiological device inside a piece of luggage. . .
IF EOM were real (I do not believe he is), it seems plausible that he would release nearly the exact same statement more than once (especially if any prior attempt was 'pushed back'). The most interesting aspect, in my mind, is the repeated reference to Al-Adil. I wonder if he is referring to Saef Al-Adil of al Qaida or if he is just referencing the word itself in Arabic (The Just [One]). I am assuming the latter.
I remember thinking that EOM might be credible for a time when his threats seemed to mirror what we were hearing in the news. Looking back, I kind of feel foolish that I fell for it.
You never know I guess.
