(CBS 5 News)---It was a power surge that left up to 65-thousand Arizonans in the dark one week ago.

Now, some are pointing to strange lights in the skies as a possible link to that massive outage. The disturbance was large enough to shut-down all 3 units at the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant. About the same time as this massive power outage some people in the West Valley spotted something strange hovering in the sky.

Then less than 48 hours later in the same direction of the plant you had THIS captured on video. Astronomer, Steve Kates, known throughout the Valley as "Dr.Sky" says he believes the video is legit. Kates says he has seen a lot over the years but THIS sighting is special and similar to the "Phoenix Lights" sighting back in 1997.

So what is this? Not wanting to sound like someone out of a science fiction novel Dr. Sky says they're still investigating. But Dr. Sky says regardless of *WHAT* this is...the timing of this showing up.... so close to the Palo Verde Outage is interesting.

That was on Coast to Coast AM last night.

Good to hear that SeeBS is using Art Bell/George Noory as news sources...

Interesting. I couldn't get the News video to load, but did get the link off the newsite to the other video to work. Strange formation of lights, to say the least. Wonder what it was?

That is interesting mnc. Could it be some new military hardware/craft that was being tested?

I watched the video and I'm much more disturbed by the power line explosions than the lights in the sky. What caused the power lines to explode -- was it a mere power surge or was it sabatoge?

The lights in the sky look remarkably similar to what we routinely saw several years ago here in the Hudson Valley. Everyone was convinced that we had become a mecca for UFO's, but when the publicity got out of hand, someone blew the whistle on a local flying club, whose five members were flying in a "V" formation at night in their single engine aircraft in an effort to replicate a larger aircraft of unidentified origin. Once the hoax was uncovered, the FAA launched an investigation and the last I heard the club had disbanded and the members had moved on to crop circles. I am about 97.9% sure that what I saw on that video is exactly what I used to see here -- five single engine aircraft flying in a "V" formation at night to fool people into thinking they saw a UFO. The objects may have been unidentified, but I'll bet a Freeper Dollar that is wasn't aliens, Iranians, Iraqi's, AQ, or illegal Mexicans.
