Schwarzenegger Pays Tribute to Reagan During Prayer Breakfast

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger paid tribute to former President Ronald Reagan during the state's annual prayer breakfast Wednesday morning.

The event provided a chance for state lawmakers, business leaders and community members to join together in prayer on behalf of California.

Schwarzenegger went on to voice his admiration for Reagan, another actor-turned-governor. "I had many times the chance to meet him and to speak with him, and every time I talked to him he was very inspirational, very encouraging, and very motivational," said Schwarzenegger.

The governor also talked about the philosophical legacy of the former president. "We will miss President Reagan, but we will carry on with the optimism he taught us, and his abiding belief of what America stood for," he said.

In addition to his remarks about Reagan, Schwarzenegger also spoke about the diversity of religions, which he said is a great strength for the country.
