I saw a very interesting observation about "Bedtime for Bonzo" last night. Since Reagan, an FDR Democrat at the time, did object to the strong Leftist/Communist influence in Hollywood at the time, he was blackballed by a significant number of studios and directors. He didn't complain, but had to take work where he could find it. He could have been as big as John Wayne, his close friend. He was certainly the better actor, IMHO.

Maybe it was God's plan that he find another outlet and not get trapped by superstardom. We are certainly fortunate in that. But, as I say, it was a major AHA!! for me to see that Reagan was suddenly demoted to B-movies--not by lack of talent--but because of politics and '50s-style PC.

John Wayne would have been happy with the results. You will remember that he too joined an organization to object to Hollyweirds communist influences. He just did it later in life.
