Former President George Bush with his wife Barbara reaches out to talk to cancer patients, Jose Gobellan, and Aida Oris after they presented him a gift in honor of his 80th birthday at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Saturday, June 12, 2004, in Houston. Bush was surprised by the hospital as the pediatric wing of the hospital was renamed the Robin Bush Child and Adolescent Clinic as a birthday present. Robin Bush died of leukemia in 1953 at the age of 3.

Gretchen .. I was struck by that little escort done by GW at the funeral .. and how they squeezed hands while gazing at each other. I kept wondering if it had been planned the previous evening when the President when to visit with Nancy. I believe it was the outward appearance of a spiritual event .. the passing of the mantle of Reagan to GW. What say you ..??
