Dear President Bush,
This URGENT message is being sent (in increments of 25, the maximum copies allowed by AOL) to over 2500 of your supporters, numerous simpatico print and electronic journalists, selected 9/11 Commission members and Republican officials (including those who require individual e-mails and faxes).
In over 30 years as a journalist (NY Times, etc.), I have never undertaken this kind of initiative. But Kerry's aspirations to take command of our nation and our national security are, by any measure, horrific.
Since 2000, the Democrats ~ abetted by an overwhelmingly leftist media ~ have been abusive in their criticism and have quite effectively set the agenda for national discussion, keeping issues ~ like Abu Ghraib, firing top cabinet members and your administration's so-called culpability for September 11th, etc. ~ on the front burner of public consciousness.
Now there is something we can all do about this travesty! A recent article I wrote for NewsMax.com received such an avalanche of e-mails ~ all expressing tremendous outrage about Kerry (and Gorelick) NOT testifying before the 9/11 Commission ~ that it occurred to me this is the perfect subject for your supporters to hammer to the American public, asking why Kerry is being exempted from this duty to his country.
The Commission is scheduled to reconvene in Washington, D.C. this week, so the timing is ideal.

I am urging the higher-profile people receiving this e-mail to use the full power of their speaking, interviewing and writing skills and/or public visibility to keep this subject alive until ~ and after ~ the Commission's hearings this week, relentlessly addressing it every minute of every day until November 2nd.
And I have no doubt that those who are not in the public eye but who passionately support your candidacy will write, phone radio hosts, and email and fax all media outlets and appropriate governmental agencies and the 9/11 Commission (Fax: (202) 296-5545 or Email: info@9-11Commission.gov) to demand that Kerry and Gorelick give sworn testimony before the Commission.
I'm sure that both you and they agree that it's long past due that conservatives drove the national debate!
