He's probably spoiled rotten, but that's how it should be. I bet they still miss Spot.
So if your sensibilities are such that you can't tolerate to look at them, even if the President or First Lady are in the pictures too, please feel free to skip over them, and commence comments after these pictures have been posted.
I have left out a ton of photos of the objects of the portraits where they are viewing their portraits, or each, in turn, speaking to the assembled group. If you want to see them, ask me and I'll be happy to give you the URL's to the pics.
With that warning, here goes!!!
In a ceremony in the East Room of the White House this Morning, Pres. Bush had some very kind and generous words to say about the former President Clinton and his wife, Senator (D-NY) Hillary Clinton.
A picture of a President with integrity, and behind him? You fill in the blanks!
Former President Clinton laughs, Monday, June 14, 2004, as President Bush , not shown, tells a story about him. Clinton along with his daughter Chelsea Clinton, left, former first lady Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton , D-N.Y., center, and first lady Laura Bush, right, participated in a ceremony for the unveiling of the Clinton portraits in the East Room of the White House.
Laughing until he turned red in the face.
She who must not be named, views her portrait, along with her husband, and the honorable residents of the White House, Pres. and Laura Bush.
Hmm, let's see. Are we surprised she's in the portrait, wearing a black pantsuit?
First lady Laura Bush, standing in front of a newly painted portrait of the former first lady and now a Democratic Senator from New York, Hillary Rodham Clinton , while addressing a group in the East Room of the White House.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton (L) and his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) pose together after their official portraits were unveiled during a ceremony in the East Room at the White House.
U.S first lady Laura Bush (R), accompanied by Nancy Goodman Brinker, founder of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, waves from the balcony of the South Portico to her husband, President George W. Bush as he boards his Marine One helicopter in Washington, D.C.
And that's all the photos for now. There aren't any pictures of the President's trip to Missouri yet.
So, I'll say Aloha for now - and be back later when there are more photos to post.
Spotty! :( I miss her; our President will probably miss her for a long time, but at least they had many good years together. And cute little spoiled Barney will give him a lot of comfort and joy!
You'll have FReepmail in a minute or two. Sorry - just saw your post.
I'm okay with these pictures, because they only reinforce the contrast between W and Laura and x42 and his opportunistic consort. We should get on our knees again and thank God we have a man of character in the WH. Too funny that the nameless one is portrayed in Old Crusty. Looks like the artist painted her 25 lbs. ago.
OK. I'll stop griping. We tried so hard to get President Bush to come to Wisconsin for Flag Day. There is alwalys a huge celebration at the Flag Day Museum -- in a little town up the road from here.
With everything that has been happening in his life -- WWII Memorial, G8 conference, Reagan funeral, X41's birthday bash, and T-ball opening, I can see why he didn't have time for us. Those pictures of him with the children are just priceless. It's too bad our leftist newspaper won't be running them.
Eeek, it's the 'Toon, but it was worth it to see our President!
Laura Bush looks absolutely stunning in that red jacket & black pants. She should wear red more often. Actually that color is even better than read -- sort of a watermelon shade -- lots of rich pink tones in it.
I get this grinch in my stomach every time I see 42 - all of the nuclear secrets he gave to China, ICBM techniques, - well the list is too long and I don't want to turn this lovely place into a discussion of the debauched one.
Trust me McLynnan, I am on my knees every night, thanking God for Ronnie Reagan and Dubya, and their wonderful wives.
God bless our President and his wife, and God bless America.
We're still coming back from the travesties that jerk perpetrated on us - one of them being the clearance problem so that our DoD, and 3-letter agencies including DHS and the Military can have the clearances they need in a timely fashion, so that they have verified personnel at work. Not going to go into it here but if you are interested, ask me about it in a FReepmail.
Truthy
He's a better man than I am, Gunga Din.
I really respect our President. More now than ever!
One more thing.
I have been asked by so many people, to do another ping when I add the evening photos, that I didn't think it would be a problem.
But two of you have requested that I take your name off of the second ping for Monday's when I do the Dose. I am happy to do that IF I know that you do NOT want a second ping to the Dose when I've added the "rest of the photos" from the President's day.
IF you would like to be removed from the second ping of the day, please FReepmail and I'll check there before I do the Evening Ping.
Those who asked for the second Ping said that they get so many Pings during the day, that if they didn't get a Ping to the Dose in the Evening, they couldn't find it.
It's difficult to oblige everyone but I'm prepared to set up a second Ping list when I do the Dose and leave anyone OFF who wishes to NOT get another ping.
Send me a FReepmail if you want off of the second PING list?
Thanks.
Truthy
Aiming to try to please everyone which sometimes can be difficult!!!!!
Hi, Ohio. I'm still a little jealous over when you met our President, and got a kiss on the cheek! Meeting him would be a high point in anyone's life!
Post away. President Bush was gracious, sincere and downright funny when hosting the unveiling today. The pics deserve to be seen regardless of the presence of the Clintons.
Truthy, thank you. LOVE the one with the little girl telling him "a secret".
Post them if you want to, T. We can take it...we're the DOSE DAMES!
While I hate to see the unmentionable ones, they are a part of President Bush's normal day today. I would vote to include those pictures. It has been done on this thread before.
History should be accurate and this thread is a bit of history.

So is the portrait of Clintoon going to be captioned with:
"I did NOT have sex with that woman!"

A BARF alert is mandatory for any Clinton photos that appear on the dose. ;)
