I'm I'm correct, there are a number of states that have a "resign to run" law, meaning that if you're a current office-holder and you're seeking higher office, you have to resign from your current position.

I believe Florida is one of those states.

On a side note, I could excuse a Senator (of either party) if they missed a FEW votes while running for President. But what Kerry is doing (87% of votes missed) is inexcusable and he ought to resign immediately...or pay back the Senate for the time missed.

Keep nipping at him. Eventually a lot of these al Querry realities hidden by the lunatic mediots will surface.

Then, more moderate voters will switch over.

Nice work, amigo.

Maybe we can get some mileage out of the phrase "The Virtual Senator."

Mr. Kerry refused to resign, saying: "I believe I am serving the citizens of Massachusetts and the country in the proposal I've laid out about health care for all Americans, which George Bush has not, to balance the budget, to be fiscally responsible."

George Bush didn't miss 87% of his job this year. Any more comments, Jacques?

Helluva job, pal!

BTW, does Kerry not see the glaring hypocrisy in purporting an interest in 'balancing the budget' while he's siphoning off taxpayer money for a no-show job?

Law student Johnathan M. Stein, 28, filed a complaint against Mr. Kerry of Massachusetts for cashing the pay checks and Senate Secretary Emily J. Reynolds for not deducting pay for his absences.

It seems extremely odd to me that a law student has to enforce the law through a complaint! What the hell is the Justice Department doing???????
