Last night prospective first lady Teresa Heinz Kerry told CBS Evening News that she's "cheeky" and "sexy." Her husband John Kerry seconded that emotion, calling her "saucy" and "sexy."But according to early returns, the majority of the Heinz Kerrys' Boston neighbors disagree - by a landslide.
WRKO Boston radio host Howie Carr surveyed his listeners yesterday, after advance word on Teresa's comments was leaked to the press.
The question on Carr's web poll: "Teresa Heinz Kerry says she is sexy - do you agree?"
The results: 90 percent said, no - Teresa Heinz Kerry is not sexy. A mere ten percent concurred with her boast.
This was (sadly) on every major news network last night, and seeing her live footage is infinitely more terrifying than her Gorgon-esque still photos.
"Full of life?" My ass. "Full of botulism?" Certainly. Thanks, Botox!
Ten percent concurred? That must be the "go ugly early" demographic.
LOL! (How do you say "OUCH" with a Mozambique accent?)
Maybe the definition of "sexy" has changed. I thought it meant to be appealing, not totally repulsive to the point of puking.
Rule #1 for democrat potential First Ladies: NEVER open your mouth unless you've taken a focus group poll.
This kind of reminds me of the media campaign to try to convince the world that Chelsea Clinton was hot.
("Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.")
$exy=500 Million. You bet (to some people)
The numbers would have been higher, but they polled commoners. You see, the eliteratti have been schooled in the classical, deconstructed notions of true sexiness. The typical "man on the street," (if you will) has no such training and thus, can't fully understand even the implication of Taahreeezah's statement. They shouldn't be allowed to vote on the issues.
poor nurse fuzzy wuzzy! this was kind of mean though, oh well.
I don't mean to slam Mrs. Kerry, but in my OPINION,
she's about as saucy & sexy as a bottle of ketchup - which doesn't do a whole heck of a lot for me.
Anyone who has to actually TELL other people that they are sexy, isn't that sexy. Bo Derek doesn't have to go around reminding people.
TEH-RAY-ZA, rhymes with Hair-raiser, is in serious age denial.
Unless you consider a vast fortune sexy, Liveshot's money ticket is about as unsexy as you can get without crossing into the realm of Hitlery. Most heterosexual men prefer NOT to go there . . .
"WRKO Boston radio host Howie Carr surveyed his listeners yesterday..."
What is the makeup of the audience? How many, if polled, would consider either themselves or spouse to be 'sexy' and/or 'saucy'?
If sexuality and sex itself is primarily a 'brain' function (as oppossed to physical) - who's to say she isn't sexy?
Better question to ask:
What is she over compensating for?
Just a thought.....

You put that so well.
...and ain't it just the truth !
