I wish I could agree with you on this one. But as we're bombarded more and more by this, I can't help but feel overwhelmed and dispirited.

There are many democrats that are truely pro-American and good citizens, they are not liberals or leftist. They hold onto the old Democrat ways and many are only one step accross the aisle from being republican and I think many will vote that way come november.

"TOBY: No, and with everybody that fired out, I found out that the American people supported this thing by and large, the majority. Other people spoke out against it and then they came back and had to deal with the consequences of the American public. And then you heard them all go claiming their freedom of speech. But all freedom of speech gives you is the right to say what you want to at your government executing you, if you get down to it--that's really all freedom of speech is. It doesn't come with consequences or repercussions about whether somebody's gonna buy your album or your book or read your newspaper column or whatever. I'm not a banger of the war drum and I didn't support that actual war that went on in Iraq, and I don't know the math, but I trust that I'm smart enough to know that I'm not as smart as Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell and Bush, and I've got to allow them to do their job. In the end I'll decide whether I was for this war or not; I was for Afghanistan. But I am for our troops, 'cause they have no choice--they have to go do their job, and what I say is once the war starts, whether you're anti or pro, give it up and let's support our troops, help our people get back."

I was pro Toby until the awards show last month were at the end he decided to say "hey, lets all go get drunk" instead of something for the troops.

Yes Toby, I know you may feel supporting the troops is getting old, but they are still over there. A small mention was expected.

"His songs are unabashadly Pro-America."

How can that be possible? I thought all DummyCrats were anti-American scumbag terrorist-lovers?

My brain's overloading from this connundrum.

"That's not the point."

Actually, on a show devoted to the Top 100 Romantic Love Songs, that's EXACTLY the point. Roy Rogers is superior to Toby Keith in this muscial genre.

Thanks Hildy....it won't be on anymore. I watch it rarely, but still, I won't knowingly watch something remotely related to MTV. BC also said Nickelodeon is owned by the same companies. Glad my grandkids are too old for that now.

He's also superior to probably about 65% of everybody on that list. She pointed out Keith, and that's intentional.

You can huff and puff that it's insignificant, but when Snoop Dogg tells them he'll give them free tickets to a concert if they register and then feed them all the liberal crap, you should start feeling very afraid.

Agree. These "kids" are old enough to vote, even if they're not old enough to "know better" how to make a wise decision.

Then you have the folks who are plenty "old enough" who never will know how to make a wise decision...if a Hollywood star says "vote for so-and-so", well, they should know, right? After all, they're a Hollywood star, aren't they? sheesh...and yes, what to do?!

Media bias is a problem - but what do you do about it?

Freedom of speech you know. Yet, think we are doing pretty good, the need for conservatives to be heard has lead to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and all of the local talk radio shows, Free Republic and the email network to spread the truth to all we can reach.

Fox Cable has grown and is overtaking all the other news outlets - especially on national events.

Apparently, the liberal media is just not working.

Good grief. I saw the show also, the comment by the Elle writer took all of 10 seconds. Toby Keith's songs are formulated pablum. Roy Rogers ( along with Dale Evans) is known for his country Love Songs more than Toby Kieth. It wasn't a political comment, it was a comment about who is more deserving to be higher on the list of country love songs.

If it takes 10 seconds of nothing to get you into a twist, just turn off the tv. Sounds like you are just looking for something to complain about.

Toby is a rat?

Read the rest of the posts. He is registered Dem, but is conservative. Prolly just registered Dem out of family tradition (Wait, that's Bocephus) but votes for the 'best guy'.

If you get any good ideas from this thread, let me know. I'm sick and tired of the libs and their propaganda.

It's called Right Flight.....from academia, from the legal profession, from labor, from the Hollywood upper echelon, from the bureaucracy, etc. The Right gave it all to the Left without a fight, or so it seems.

Bocephus is Hank Williams, Jr. Not sure where the nickname came from, although it seems like it might have come from his dad. Since he sang Family Tradition, that was why I stuck it in there.
