A few years ago postings about echelon were a standard staple here on FR. Some posters made it out to be super duper high tech software that could do just about anything you could dream of. A while back, one long time poster here on FR said he had more than casual familiarity with it, and it was really rather ordinary software that was extraordinarily effective in doing what it was designed to do.
Today it looks like we've been successful at taking out at least one significant bad guy. Maybe echelon was a key factor.
