Then Chappelle placed Smart's case in opposition to that of Lionel Tate of Florida, who was convicted of murder in the death of a 6-year-old neighbor. Smart, at 15, was considered a child. But at 14, two years after the crime, Tate was sentenced as an adult to life in prison without parole. (A previously rejected plea bargain was later accepted, and he is now free.)

Chapelle's sketch 'White people love Wayne Brady because he makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcom X' was about the funniest laugh riot routine that I've ever seen a comic do.

Briefly, for those who aren't aware, Emmy-winning daytime TV personality/gospel singer Wayne Brady is so straightlaced in real life he could be one of the Osmond Family. Chapelle made the comment 'White people love Wayne Brady because he makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcom X', and Brady heard about it and was reportedly upset.

Pretty soon, Chapelle ran a gag video about him being invited out on the town by Brady. He reluctantly accepts and finds out that Wayne Brady is a psychotic murdering gangster. Side-splitting comedy ensues.

There's good reason that Chapelle's Comedy Central show is #1.
