After Beheading, Rising Anger in New Jersey (Warning: Graphic photos down thread)

After Beheading, Rising Anger in New Jersey By JASON GEORGE and MARC SANTORA

ITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J., June 19 — There are the flowers and the crosses, the notes and the photographs and all the other signs of sympathy and grieving that one would expect to find at an impromptu shrine devoted to someone murdered in a most cruel fashion.

But one day after graphic photographs of the body of Paul M. Johnson Jr., beheaded by Islamic extremists, were beamed around the world, a new sign appeared in the yard next to the house of Mr. Johnson's sister in Little Egg Harbor Township.

"Last night my heart was filled with love and prayers, but today it is filled with hatred. Last night I was not a racist, but today I feel racism toward Islamic beliefs," the sign said. "Last night Islamics had a chance to speak up for Paul Johnson, but today it was too late," it also said. "Today Islamics better wake up and start thinking about tomorrow."

The sentiment reflected in the sign was not shared by everyone in the southern New Jersey community where Mr. Johnson had grown up, but it was shared by several people interviewed over the past few days.

Muslim officials around the state, and the world, were quick to condemn the killing and offer their sympathy to Mr. Johnson's family.

A week ago, when Mr. Johnson was kidnapped in Saudi Arabia, where he worked as an engineer for Lockheed Martin, there was a great deal of hope among friends that everything would work out.

On Tuesday, when the terrorists put out a video saying they would execute Mr. Johnson in 72 hours if their demands were not met, the situation took on added urgency and people turned to prayer.

About 100 friends gathered Thursday night for a candlelight vigil. Friday they found out that their prayers had not been answered.

"A lot of people are angry, a lot of people are sad and a lot of people are hurt," said Dennis C. Seeley Jr., a chaplain for the Eagleswood Fire Company. Mr. Seeley, who helped organize the vigil, had the same exhausted look as others in the town.

John Hayes, a childhood friend of Mr. Johnson's, said: "I just can't believe it. I didn't think it was going to come to this." Mr. Hayes said he was sad for Mr. Johnson's son, Paul III, and his grandson, Paul IV, who live in Florida.

Mr. Johnson's family spent most of their time in private, grieving.

Joseph Billy Jr., an F.B.I. agent who spoke on the family's behalf, said, "They knew that the odds were not in the favor of law enforcement." He thanked the Saudi and American governments and said, "Paul considered Saudi Arabia his home."

Some neighbors did not hide their anger, saying privately that blood should be met with blood.

Khalid Masood Butt, 51, president of the Pakistani American Muslim Organization of South Jersey, said, "This is understandable as the people react and they are under the influence of emotions." He said he wanted to offer the family support. "But I wondered about how I would be received. Now I feel I should have done it. As an American, as a Muslim, it is my duty to give them the concepts of being a Muslim."

This head chopping business is really angering Americans. Islam stands a real good chance of losing it's two most holy cities pretty darned soon. Leastwise, no one here will counsel against that being done anyway.

"As an American, as a Muslim, it is my duty to give them the concepts of being a Muslim."

We have seen too many times this concept of being a Muslim. The Muslims should hang their heads in shame for the animals they breed in the name of their "Religion of Peace".

Sir, with all due respect, you and your mosque need to begin to speak out loudly and forcefully, with actions that will tell your non-Muslimic American countrymen that you truly believe these actions are not inherent to Islam. We will eventually see the true face of Islam -- it is up to you to (help) determine what face it is we see.

al Qaeda terrorist Abdulaziz al-Muqrin, grounded for "plausible deniability" after a purported Saudi "conflict"
against terrorism (unlikely since the House of Saud created 911 and much of worldwide terrorism).
Some say the brutal murderer of Paul Johnson died with a smile on his face because he
helped Dan Rather, CBS, NBC and ABC-TV in their war against America
as they encouraged and enabled terrorists for YEARS against the USA.

PICTURES OFJOHNSON BEHEADED after encouragement from Dan Rather and CBS again.

I'm tired of soothing words from Muslim apologists!

"Don't worry" they say, "Only a small minority of Muslims, maybe 10%, are radicals who believe in a worldwide jihad."

Great! Only 100,000,000 of their co-religionists want to behead me and enslave my family.

They better start finding that 10% and doing some beheading themselves.

"As an American, as a Muslim, it is my duty to give them the concepts of being a Muslim."

Applying the word duty, defined as:
the social force that binds you to your obligations and the courses of action demanded by that force"
...the only "social force" I see the from the muslims, to attempt to thrust the muslim religion upon the rest of us.

These middle easter Jehovah's Witnesses are everywhere, trying harder to pull us into their religion, than gays are trying to pull young boys into bathhouses.

I stopped by a car dealership the other day, and the salesman came out and after a few minutes talking about the car were were looking at, he asked my wife and I what our religion was...

Well, needless to say, such a question in the midst of explaining the power options on a car, sort of caught us by surprise.

Anyway, we told him, and he launched into a sermon about the muslim relgion. We got the usual spiel about how all muslims aren't bad, blah, blah, blah.

We left, post haste.

Call it what you want, I don't see it as a religion, but as a cult. Chopping off heads is NOT a rite of passage to the promised land.

Gee, a duty as a civilized human being would have perhaps given this monger some credibility, but IMHO, he has professed the true meaning and goal of the Muslim faith.

If your not of the Muslim faith you are an infidel, thus your death is warranted by being an infidel.

I wouldn't count on the Muslims cleaning up a bathroom, much less 100,000,000 animals of their own making.

It's becoming very clear that if America doesn't take these primitives out, nobody will. To think otherwise is sheer folly.

"Friday they found out that their prayers had not been answered. "

Their prayers were answered but not with the answer they wanted. I don't know why bad things happen to good people but I do know God has his reasons. Recall Job in the Bible and what he went through. God has the big picture. We only have a slice of it.

Maybe this horrible tragedy will unit us and stop the political backstabbing by politicians when the terrorism issue comes up.

I believe the ones in this country are laying in wait until the time is right and there are enough of them to inflict another attack on our country.I don't believe their phony bull**** about actually caring about Nick Berg or Paul Johnson. If they were sincere they would have more actively tried to influence their satanic brethren in Saudi Arabia.

This past anniversary of 9/11, PBS had a British produced documentary, where they interviewed eyewitnesses to the carnage.
Most had stories I had not heard before and many could not get through their recollections, without choking up.
One young stock broker recounted what he saw in the courtyard, as he was fleeing the building.
The Port Authority police instructed the stream of people running out, to keep running forward and to " not look right."
He said that human nature being what it was-he looked right.
The image that still haunts him is not the broken and charred and decapitated bodies, some still strapped in their airline seats.
The image that will remain with him forever, is that of a pregnant woman hitting the concrete, just as he looked over.
He said at that moment of impact, she ruptured " like a watermelon " and he could see the infant attached to the the umbilical cord, fly out.
And then he started to cry.

I work just down the hall from the TADS/PNVS folks here in Orlando. There wasn't much hope of a happy ending last week, but there are signs everywhere offering prayers and support to Paul and his family. I didn't know him, but know people who did.

Most people weren't in on Friday because it was an off-Friday; it's just as well. Monday will be rough, but we are, as we were on 9-11, awake and filled with a terrible resolve. Nobody is running away, nobody is turning back. We are at war, and we have a job to do.

To the enemies of America, know this: We at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control make the eyes that will find and kill you, in the light of day and in the darkest night. And the Hellfire missiles that frag your sorry 7th-century asses? We make those too.

With pleasure. You bastards.

I met a man on the bus shortly after 9/11. He told me that he went to do search and rescue that night. He was stunned when he saw a foot burning in a shoe. A man from my job was out on the street when the buildings came down. His body was safe, but his head has never been the same. He can barely speak of what he saw that day.

What they don't understand is that they should have been "quick to condemn the killERS...

I don't believe in religious discrimination but we are long past due for Muslims everywhere to drum these bastards out of their ranks. They can't demand to be treated differently than terrorist Muslims if they won't treat them as criminals. Condemn them loudly and publicly, inform on them, turn on them personally, police the members of their own religion...
