I agree with you. I am going to vote for Cain and so is my husband, but I didn't much like the implications of that statement.

Why, because he has some money???

This election should be, and is run on the issues. In fact, it has been Herman Cain who has defined the dynamics of this election. Every issue (Fair Tax, Life, Social Security, Federal Judges) have been placed to the forefront by Cain.

Case and point, when Isakson was pressed on the Neil Boortz program to support Linders fair tax bill he scurried to endorse and co-sponsor. Cain has been preaching throughout the campaign.

Isakson says he pro-life then pro-choice.

The man is a chameleon. I am banking my money on Cain. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

"Sorry, I vote by Content of Character, not skin color."

Given Mr. Cain's record of real world achievement and the fact that he is not a professional politician, your choice should not be difficult, if you mean what you say.

I can't vote for him but I intend to send his campaign a contribution tomorrow morning.

Actually he did talk skin color, here is his remark:

To: MEG33 As a white dude, I say we need HC in the Senate. And regardless of race, this is the type of canidate the Republicans should be fielding whether white, hispanic, asian, or black. It's time to retire many of the Senate lily white, no backbone, country club boys anyway. 34 posted on 06/20/2004 11:10:54 AM EDT by jamfull lily white, is a skin color.

Yes , I like Cain's character. And all of the postive things that have been said about his character are true, but there are also positive traits about the other Republicans running. Republicans are blessed with talent.

My biggest concern is that Denise Mag would very possibly win vs Isakson or Collins. But if Cain gets the nomination it would be a cake walk.

Maurice,

The One outstanding trait for Cain, is he is a dynamic speaker, as compared with Matt Collins. Collins seems a bit flat, when talking before a group.

It's "Mac" Collins and he is not the incumbent in this seat. Perhaps you meant that he sits in congress with Isakson. The main word there is "sits". Cain is outspoken and I love it!

"Taking anything for granted in Georgia politics is a mistake. Any poll will tell you the state is still very closely divided. Remember when everyone said Barnes couldn't be beat a mere two years ago?

Isakson is the only candidate who can guarantee us a win. A vote for Cain or Collins in the primary is a vote for Majette in the general."

Your two paragraphs contradict each other at least once.
Way to be informed - just back the "the only candidate who can guarantee us a win" even though "Taking anything for granted in Georgia politics is a mistake".

By the way, backing backing "the only candidate who can guarantee us a win" leads one to believe its the REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY that you care about.

Smarty Jones was favorite. Smarty Jones peaked too early. Favorites don't always win. See you in the Cain-Isakson run-off.
