Hmm.. I don't buy that -- and I wonder if you really do yourself. Consider an analogy. Do you think Sharon's wall is also a useless exercise in keeping people "bent on destruction" out -- because "anyone bent on destroying Isreal will find their way in"?

That's like saying don't close or lock the doors to your home at night or when you go on vacation because if someone wants in, they'll get in anyhow. It doesn't have to be as easy as it is.
Hogwash, mass migration whether legal or illegal creates ethnic ghettoes in which terrorists hide. Plenty of stories circulated about the 9/11 terrs mingling with fellow Muslims and hinting that they were up to no good. Ask yourself if Israel would be safer with Arabs within its borders or not. Now they know terrorists better than some radio bigmouth, and don't you think we should curtail this foolish social experiment of mass migration?
Well hell, let's just invite them in then! Sheesh. It's that kind of defeatist attitude that got us 9-11. I'm sorry, but better border protection will only benefit American citizens. Yeah, a determined terrorist will find a way to kill. But does that mean we should just roll over and dare them to enter our country? Hell no. It means we do everything within our power to prevent them from getting in. It's called national security, protecting the homeland, or whatever.
But it needs to be done. And it needs to be done better.
