I was in Narathiwat earlier this year. The Saudis have spent a lot of money here in the past setting up small madrassahs that teach their virulent brand of Islam Wahhabism.

I was a bit surprised to see so many Arabs there. I asked about it and was told that they come there to buy wives. Mainly the young girls 12 or 13 whom they take on as second, third or forth wives.
