WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) met with Secretary of the Senate Emily Reynolds Wednesday to discuss ethics complaints stemming from his prolonged absence from the legislative body while he campaigns for president. Kerry and Reynolds were spotted by Congressional staffers slipping into one of the many antechambers of the Capitol where the pair likely reviewed options for dealing with the complaints filed against both of them.
A complaint filed by Hofstra law student Jonathan Stein accuses Reynolds of willfully violating a federal statute that requires her to make deductions from Kerry's Senate paycheck for his absences. Kerry is also named in the complaint for knowingly accepting salary to which he is not entitled.

In light of your unrelentingly hard work on this matter, I thought you'd be interested in this article.
I thank you also, Peach, for your informative and interesting posts. Keep it up!!!!
How nice you are! Thank you.
Every Freeper should e-mail a copy of this story to their local talk radio shows. If enough of the local guys talk about it. Then the bigger guys like Hannity, Tony Snow, Mike Gallager and others will. Eventually if enough noise is made...Fox News and then the others will have to say something...or risk looking real bad.
I have already sent stuff to hannity@foxnews.com
tonysnow@foxnews.com mike@mikeonline.com and others. Each show's web page usually has an e-mail listing.
If Kerry was seen talking in a room with the Senate Sec. He very well may be violating even more ethics (and maybe laws). Sounds like he may be trying to get her to cover tracks or something. It would not be a shock for her to suddenly come out and say that it was Senate error and that Kerry was not overpaid. Regardless, I'd like to see an investigation into this matter.
Of course they're not going to enforce this law, or stature. 80% of them would have to give up their salaries.
Hey empty suit lurch, get a pair of ba***, resign from your senate seat if you're so sure that you'll win.
Never fear, come November you'll get your wish.
A tip of the hat to Hofstra law student Jonathan Stein!
IS that likke how he's going to combat outsourcing and the Benedict Arnold corps by giving them tax breaks to come back? (Particularly Heinz, of course)
Busted . . . but it won't matter. You're right, the media will ignore this. If the American public caught wind of this, there'd be a riot.

My2Cents says... "This is easy to do, too. One can simply take their best daily post on FR, recast it as a letter to the editor, and then use the link provided, and they're done....They've contributed in a not-insignificant way to the cause. I do this all the time."
"If the American public caught wind of this, there'd be a riot."
Well, then we should follow the example of the fine law student who is leading the fight to expose Kerry on this issue. Again I urge everyone to call and e-mail their local talk radio show.

I would very much like to meet or speak with the law student that is listed in the article sometime. Maybe he could advise me on what law schools a conservative should look at. I know many conservatives with that question.
The honest thing to do would be for Kerry to pay back the money and retire from the Senate. He doesnt need the money anyway and he certainly isnt serving his constituents.
