BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- U.S. forces launched an airstrike targeting militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi after his group beheaded a South Korean who had pleaded "I don't want to die" in a heart-wrenching videotape.

"Korean soldiers, please get out of here," he screamed in English. "I don't want to die. I don't want to die. I know that your life is important, but my life is important."
As a Christian, Kim should have known how unimportant his life really was. Still, I can't say that I fault him too much for his outburst, though....
Time to take out Al Jazeera . . . Terrorist mouthpieces must be removed.

I wouldn't say his life was unimportant ... however, he is in Heaven now, in the presence of the Lord forever ...
his captors will likely face a different fate ... and there won't be 72 virgins ...
I agree. They're operating as the mouthpiece for Al Qaeda and should be eliminated. Perhaps it should just start with some "transmission problems". People find static and excessive snow a little irritating.
You mean CNN....
Unimportant in that it no longer belonged to him. It belonged/belongs to the Lord.
the Lord says fear not, for we are worth many sparrows ...
nonetheless, he is no longer in pain or fear ...
but allah's minions have caused pain for a family still on Earth ... wait until they find out who allah really is ... boy are they in for a surprise ...
They should receive a WARM welcome....
As a Christian I know how sanctified and important life is. We were created in the image and likeness of God, and we are important enough to Him that he suffered and died on the Cross for our Redemption. It did seem a little cowardly to beg like Kim did, but after Nick Berg and Paul Johnson Kim knew exactly what awaited him. Even the Saviour felt the anxiety of death in the Garden, as He sweated droplets of blood and prayed to the Father for relief when He foresaw His Passion and Crucifixion.
There is no telling how much the thugs tortured Kim before they filmed his "confession" or whatever you want to call it. How does anyone know that they didn't say, "We know where your family is, and we will kill them unless you read this statement." Also, the thugs torture their "prisoners" to death -- slowly sawing off the head. I'm under the impression from other posts that some spiritual giants here on FR would brag about how well they would do -- "I would be whistling a hymn until they cut through my windpipe." "That's nothing, I would be preaching a sermon until they cut my spinal cord." I would expect the leftists to be twice as eager to make light of Kim's fate now that is is evident he was a Christian. Now there are Christians who make light of it and are judgemental because the guy wasn't cheerful as he was being tortured to death.
God help the jihadis who came after my family. It really wouldn't matter if I was alive or dead; there would be a bloodbath regardless and the last thought to cross the jihadi's mind as they fade to black is that they should have picked an easier target.
Of course, in the unlikely event that the jihadis tried to capture me you wouldn't see me on video tape, you'd probably see my body mixed in with a couple dead jihadis on Fox News or some such.
Which brings up an interesting point. Now that everyone presumably knows that jihadis behead all their prisoners, why would any person even bother to cooperate, at gunpoint or not? It wouldn't matter to me if they had guns are anything else when they came for me. I'd end it right there, one way or another.
exactly. have...say, a tourist...wreck a vehicle into one of their main broadcast signal structures.
So this is a religious war?
They're both just 'outreach' groups for the DNC.
Really? There aren't that many posts on this thread. Which spiritual giants are you pointing too? I don't think anyone who posted here faults Kim for his outburst, or do you have an axe to grind?
No, it's all about oil & Halliburton....
You forgot a (/sneering sarcasm) stamp after your post....or did you really mean what you wrote???
