Apparently you've never been on the receiving end of an evangelical conversion attempt. Saying it's not as bad as Islam is not much of a comfort.

Yes I have. But it seems unlike you I am strong enough to deal with it and not feel personally threatened, which I will never get. Comparing islam and Christianity is just sick! Even the Christian cults (Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses) are not at threat to your person unlike islam. You can tell Christianity no without fear of life because it is a choice that each person must make and there are many who will say no and even that is accepted in Christianity. But having fear because they ask... what a joke!

What the Catholic Church did in the past when it was not following the Bible is not Protestant Christianity. This is the one thing that the Jews I know can not separate they see only the Catholic Church history as Christianity. There is a big difference. America is unique as a country because of our Protestant Christianity and its principles used in the founding of this country. I will never get the fear of it,because it has created the freedoms this country offers, nor do I understand the wanting to get rid of these principles and the equating them with evil.

"America is unique as a country because of our Protestant Christianity and its principles used in the founding of this country."

You seem blissfully ignorant of Protestant violence - against Catholics, dissenting Protestants, "pagans," and "witches." Freedom of religion was not invented by the early Protestant reformers, but came about after centuries of religious conflict between and among Protestants, Catholics, and non-believers. You are in serious need of a history lesson. One specific example: the slaughter of thousands of Irish Catholics by Cromwell. (And, no, I'm not interested in Protestant-bashing or arguments about whether Catholicism is better or worse than Protestantism; I'm just trying to set the record straight.)
