Congratulations. A faith filled woman is probably one of the biggest blessings God can give you. Makes all the difference in life. It sounds like you've found your treasure.

Thanks, brother Patent (or "separated brother", whatever we Magisterial High-Protestants are supposed to be these days); may Our Lord Christ bless, shine upon you, and lift you up.

But that said, while my Betrothed is a "faith-filled woman" (she chastises me on those rare-but-occasional instances when I forsake my Sabbath Obligation to attend Sunday Worship -- much to her credit, and one of the reasons I love her so), her Objection to "The Pill" was NOT primarily Religious in basis.

In fact, she was surprised (and unhappily dismayed) when I related to her the Fact that Chemical Contraceptives often cause "micro-abortions" of the Conceived Embryo. Like many Protestant women (and dare I say, many Catholic women), she was unaware that "The Pill" risked Violation of the Protestant Sixth Commandment (Catholic Fifth: "Thou Shalt Not Commit Murder").

No, her first objection was simply Utilitarian; she doesn't believe in the Pill's alleged usefulness: "If the Pill worked, I wouldn't be here". That's probably all I need to say in a Public Forum; but suffice it to say that she is entirely un-persuaded of the supposed "Efficacy" of Chemical Contraception, and was all the more dismayed when I related to her the Facts of its abominable and unjustifiable Abortifacient effects.

Anyway, while we still have to work out the matter of "pregnancy timing" (I want kids; so does she, but not while she's still on an intense Drug Regimen [Depression runs on her Mom's side of the family; anything more than that I will discuss with Polycarp in private]), I am happy to say that "discussing the Pill" is not even a discussion we are going to have -- we are both committed to Non-Abortifacient, perhaps "Barrier" but preferably "Natural", methods of Pregnancy Timing.

And, at the Least, I've educated one more Protestant Woman (my Beloved) as to the Abortifacient Effects of "The Pill". She didn't believe in "The Pill" anyway, but now she knows the Worst of it.

Best, OP
