and that if the proper prostitute/spies are used...Marines will be happy to cough up intel.
Sorry, had to return some jabs.
The Army does not supply the United States Marine Corp.
Their biggest problem??
They are not United States MARINES!
They will never know the meaning of "Semper Fidelis" nor "Espirit d'Corps"

The families of those KIA would not appreciate this kinda talk - cool it.

My A-- Rides In Navy Equipment
Heck, they don't even let them drive the boats.
Do they set up seperate supply lines when working in situations like we currently have in Iraq?
And if a guy is good looking to start with.. then watch out! LOL
My uncle is alive today because of the Marines coming to his rescue in Korea. He was in the US Army, and it was he who advised me to join the Marines.
Also, if you can remember a little more than a year ago, the 7 Army POWs were found by the MARINES.
Does that refresh your memory any?
Yeah, I was a grunt and I usually wore a uniform just like the one the soldier is wearing. In fact, I never owned or wore a pair of dress blues.
As a former Army combat infantry man (164th CAG Can Tho, RVN) I object to any catch all comparison between the Army and Marines. The Marines are elite troops, but they are the Shock Troop element of the Navy. The Army has equally elite Shock Troop elements. Comparing the Marines to the entire Army is a fair as comparing them to the entire Navy.
Yours is the best post of this thread.
The still belong to the Navy. It has been suggested to make them separate...but has never come to fruition....but we are talking about the Pentagon...so it could change like the weather.
"The Department of the Navy consists of two uniformed Services: the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps."

The Secretary also oversees the construction, outfitting, and repair of naval ships, equipment and facilities. SECNAV is responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies and programs that are consistent with the national security policies and objectives established by the President and the Secretary of Defense. The Department of the Navy consists of two uniformed Services: the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps.
We have a winner!
Ever hear of Pusan, Korea?
Better check your history.
How about Bladensburg during the war of 1812? USMC was the last defense for Washington, DC. Finally overpowered by the Brits, they retreated. The Brits burned Washington, DC to the ground, all except Marine Barracks, 8th & Eye, Streets, which still stands out of respect for the courageous way the Marines fought them.
Semper Fi, USMC 1970-1981.
You started all this crap over an erroneously identified photo!
Mainside, Camp LeJeune. Too early in the morning to be waking me up with a photo like that. I'm a civilian now.
