naaah! getting all-Marines libo secured on mainland Japan for two weeks while at the E-Club on Camp Zama Japan and the Army boys "heckles"..then your corpman decides to finish it by superior firepower through the use of us combat Marines who by the way, we were outnumbered. Yep, only a few were thrown into the brig overnight then pulled out first thing in the morning.

Libo secured, "all Marine Corps bases, mainland Japan for the next two weekends. D Co 1st TV Bn, all liberty is secured and filled with extra duty for your unit til you return stateside!"

Now, that was a good show of rivarly ribbing!

Marines 70 casualties...Japanese 700 casualties. Same Battle but all over the Pacific it was always that way.

Okinawa 12,000 US, yes Army, Navy and Marines. Japs 120,000.

American Fighting men whatever service proved their worth and they may lose a battle but not a war. Viet Nam was a political loss not a military one.
