The difference is that the Marines need the ARMY to rescue there asses out of situations where they are fixin to get severly whoooped... This has been the case down through history.... There is no instances of the Marines ever rescueing the ARMY...
Maybe you are half right but the Marines are sent to the darkst outposts for dirtiest and fcked up jobs. When you have that, you recieve high casualty rate and are bloodied. That is why the Army is such a good supporting unit for front line Marine units...
Really? Just off the top of my head try Korea and the Chosen Reservoir. There were other instances in WWI ...
Are you out of your mind?
Whose asses, did the Marines Pull out of the Chosin Reservoir?
My uncle is alive today because of the Marines coming to his rescue in Korea. He was in the US Army, and it was he who advised me to join the Marines.
Also, if you can remember a little more than a year ago, the 7 Army POWs were found by the MARINES.
Does that refresh your memory any?
Ever hear of Pusan, Korea?
Better check your history.
How about Bladensburg during the war of 1812? USMC was the last defense for Washington, DC. Finally overpowered by the Brits, they retreated. The Brits burned Washington, DC to the ground, all except Marine Barracks, 8th & Eye, Streets, which still stands out of respect for the courageous way the Marines fought them.
Semper Fi, USMC 1970-1981.
