West Must Show More Sensitivity To Issues Covering Muslims (pass the barf bag!)

Pakistan High Comissioner to the United Kingdom Dr. Maleeha Lodhi has urged the Western nations to show more sensitivity to the issues of concern to the Muslim world.

Speaking on the subject of 'Rebuilding Trust: Islam and the West' at St. Mary's Church, one of the prominent churches here late Tuesday, Maleeha said, there was no clash of values between the two worlds.

She told a questioner that it would be naive to believe that the mere introduction of democracy in the Muslim world would remove the anti-Western feelings because it was a 'very complex situation' and various factors were contributing to it.

She said a sense of injury of the Muslim world from the West had grown on the post World War era and much of it was attributable to the conduct of policy by the leading Western nations.

The West has been seen as selectively implementing principals and applying double standards, she said, adding that the right of self determination is regarded as an inviolable right for others, and the West has seemed to ignore this in the case of Palestine.

The negative sentiment in the Muslim World is exacerabated by its widespread perception of either Western indifference or lack of sensitivity to issues of concern to people in the Islamic world.

Not a peep of sorrow about Mr. Berg, Mr Johnson, Daniel Pearl, or the South Korean gentleman.

I can't believe there are people in this world that can look at beheadings and say that there is no clash in values between the fanatic savages and the west.

The only thing the West needs to be more sensitive about is the settings on its peep-sights. Ker-Plink, Ker-Plunk!

Only, and only, if the muslim nations pay 100 million dollars to the survivors of every innocent Christian and Jew they have slaughtered like rabbits, along with a public repudiation that they are barbarians and will allow us to wipe their asses out by attrition and B-1s.

There is no reasoning, nor is reform possible of the thuggish elements of the pagan muslim world and they need to be slaughtered like filthy swine as quicky as possible and devoured by jackals and have their bones bleached by the desert sun... Genocide is a fitting fate for radical muslims!

The West has been seen as selectively implementing principals and applying double standards

This is true - while Christians are severely discriminated against in Mulism countries and in some of them prohibited (like in Saudi Arabia) - at the same time Muslims are free to expand and build mosques in Western/Christian countries.

Time to end up the double standard - one mosque building permit in the West for one church building permit in the Middle East. One Muslim school - one Christian school or seminary.

For better mutual understanding I would propose the religious exchange - one Christian volunteering to read Koran/Quran in exhange for one Muslim reading the New Testament.

".......Western indifference or lack of sensitivity to issues of concern to people in the Islamic world."

Even to this day, I don't even have to close my eyes to see in my mind those poor folks falling from the Twin Towers, to their untimely and frightful deaths. I can even see those who were clinging to the windows as the buildings continued to burst into flames.

There is no video of what occurred on the airplanes, but in my mind, I can see those barbarians slicing the throats of American citizens, I can hear their last gasps for air and I can feel some of the horror of those who looked on and considered their short time left in this life. I can see the beheading of innocent citizens at the hands of these animals. The pain had to be extreme as each of their nerve endings were cut as their heads were severed from their bodies. I could go on, but I wont.

As for "sensitivity" for "the issues" of "the Islamic world".......well, I am intensely sensitive. So much so that I look forward to the day when those in "the Islamic world", have been reduced to nothing more than a wet spot of DNA on a glass slide presented as an artifact in some future museum.

Until I hear from Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg and Il Song (I believe that's his spelling), Lodhi has no credibility and she should be run out of town.

It's not that complex - 1.Muslims hate Infidels (non-believers), 2.We're Infidels, 3.They hate us.

IMHO, it's stupid to think we can install democracy on an Islamic country - oil and water. Once our troops are gone, it'll be back to imam rule within months. We removed an evil dictator and slowed down terrorist access to wmd's, and hopefully improved intelligence gathering in the region - that's the only take-homes we'll have for the billions spent on rebuilding a third-world country back into a third-world country. (end rant).
