If in fact " his (Anonymous in black in front of yellow curtains) views carry some weight",why has this CIA official been shunted off into meaningless work at the agency?
Oh and he got permission from CIA to write this book? I left the WH over 15 years ago. I have to get permission to publish... why not him? lol. He's "anonymous" because they will sue his ass into oblivion (and win) because he broke a couple of laws.

You're missing the point. He most certainly needed the Agency's approval to write this book. There's a
reason they allowed it.
Don't know what that reason is, but they wouldn't just let him spew his opinions on everything without thinking it through.
