Not sure if anyone else was listening but they said that he said that when talking to Leahy over Halliburton. The VP's office admited that the conversation was heated, but not to the language.
Not a smart move on his part. Liberal Dems are like those jerko students in school who ran to the teacher saying "he said a bad word!!!" WHIMPS. LOSERS. But regardless, the first rule of a debate is that the first person to lose his cool has lost the argument. Poor choice of words, and on the very day the SCOTUS handed him a great victory. The Dems hated him for winning, and they clearly baited him into this. He should have known better.
The entire Senate was having their pictures taken. Cheney was there. It is unclear to me at this time who engaged whom but Cheney told Sen. Leahy to "go f___ yourself and the horse you rode in on."
A classic thread. It was overheard by some people watching CNN, Freepers I think. Catspaw overheard it. CNN has reported it pretty extensively. I wasn't home and missed the entire thing.

Yeah, but the traditional attack dog is the Vice President. Kerry saying it and Bush saying it may not have the same reaction.
But then again - they've been systematically slandered in the name of "political speech" all year, that I'm surprised somebody hasn't cracked yet.
Looks like Mr. Cheney scared Leahy to death. He'll think twice about opening his mouth again, I'm sure.

Oh, yes and do I so hope it is true. I am sick to death of the endless screeds and scuriless attacks on the Vice President and Halliburtion. Wish he'd said it long ago. IMO, Patrick Leahy is a security risk to the country and a sorry excuse for a human being who has had a good one coming for a long time.
