A friend of mine has his own CPA practice; he says that about 60% of his billings come from tax work. He is totally behind the FairTax plan, because he says noone knows better than those who work on this system daily how bad it really is. He tells me I would be amazed how many people won't even take legitimate deductions because they are so intimidated by the IRS.
BTW, my friend says that he would have plenty of work to do helping people plan and manage their businesses.
