Exactly. The left's big fear about this is that once everyone is paying at least a little of this tax, it becomes MUCH harder to raise it. It's too easy for people to lose part of their check and not think about it. They lost money they didn't even have, so it's painless to sheeple that don't stop and think about it. Pop for the tax while you're buying a new couch, and it becomes a WHOLE lot harder to support the next raise in taxes. I support the NRST.
You need to look closer at the FairTax plan. They give every person in America a monthly allowance equal to the sales tax at the poverty level. Therefore, anyone under the poverty level actually makes money with this plan and if the tax is raised, they make more money.
The FairTax is the largest government entitlement program in the history of this country.

No it really isn't, four years ago, over a period of 6 months we voted on city, county, and state sales tax increases, two of the three passed, and the third probably would have, but the city presented theirs in a way that made people mad.
