Movie Goer Assaulted at Fahrenheit 9/11 Showing
(Jun. 25) -- The highly anticipated film, Fahrenheit 9/11, came with more than just controversy at one Las Vegas movie theatre. Moviegoer, Richard Streeter, was one of the many who made his way to a theatre to see what the hype was about. After viewing the film, he was greeted outside the theatre by members of the Las Vegas MoveOn.org.
The group was handing out leaflets on the importance of the film. Streeter voiced his view on the movie, "I made the comment, apples and oranges -- Kerry, Bush -- one's no better than the other. You really ain't got much of a choice. This guy comes up to me and says, 'Oh yeah?' " Streeter was then spat on by the same man.
He attempted to call police to report the incident when he was told not to, "A guy standing next to him said why don't you drop it. I said, 'No, I'm calling the police. I'm exercising my right as a citizen, I've been assaulted.' "
But the horror kept on growing for Streeter as he walked to his car on the phone with police, "This guy turns, and totally by surprise takes his hand and bam! It was a big guy. Shoved me onto the ground, I hit my head." A police report has been filed.
The film is a portrayal of President Bush and his administration. Filmmaker Michael Moore admits Fahrenheit 9/11 is his personal attack on the President and intends to change voters' minds. The President's supporters say the movie is being used for propaganda.
The questions have to be though: Did the victim want to sign a complaint for Battery against the thug? Or did the police refuse to make an arrest?
Wasn't all of this supposed to happen with Mel's movie?
Perhaps this fool has just learned a painful lesson about the foolishness of his thinking.
He has seen the true face of what Bush is up against. They're nothing more than brown shirt thugs.
LOL. Very, VERY good point!
the moveon perp will likely not be touched by the police.
I wonder if he hit him with his hand bag.
I wonder what kind of reaction the guy would gotten if he told them the movie is a propaganda hit piece on Bush made in desperation because the dem candidate sux so bad.
They're worse than brown shirts, IMO. To me, they're nothing more than uncivilized barbarians and savages, kind of like the Islamofascists they're so smitten with these days.
I had to get a new pickup truck earlier this week since my old one was totalled in a crash on the 9th. Today I placed a brand new BC04 sticker on the back bumper. Frankly, I'm kind of nervous about it - I'm hoping that the truck doesn't all of a sudden become a "key magnet", or start having the tires go "mysteriously" flat when I park it at the store. I live in a pretty conservative part of Florida, but I've been hearing too many stories about the leftists demonstrating their "tolerance." Stories like this one.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make sure I keep my comp/collision insurance policy up to date.
This is very true. I hope it makes an impression on him. The left is insane, violent and dangerous.
This guy comes up to me and says, 'Oh yeah?' " Streeter was then spat on by the same man.
Memo to moveon.org.: Spitting on people is generally not considered a good way of convincing someone to support your position.
You would have to ask his next of kin about the reaction.
IT'S NOT A HANDBAG, IT'S EURO-PEEE-ANNN!
LOL!Yeah. Thank Heavens! Otherwise this chap would have been in real trouble.
One can only hope he's learned a lesson. If this guy was hardcore, he won't be easily converted.
heh heh heh... yeah right...
Looks like your idea about wearing Ninja suits to these movies wouldn't be a bad idea.
Probably almost all conservatives and Republicans are voting their principles, beliefs, judgment, opinions, patriotism, children's futures, etc...
Many Democrats are voting to save their incomes. Unions, welfare recips, govt employees, etc... That's why they are more motivated and less tolerant.
PEACE! PEACE!!!
I'd like to teach, the world to sing, in perfect harmony, la-la-la-la-la.......
