"...Come November, I with perhaps 1 or 2 percent of the populace will cast my lonely vote for Michael Badnarik..."

And by doing so, he will "feel good about himself"
for making some kind of moral "stratement"
but in reality he helps the socialist democrat's chances.
If one feels so strongly about making a moral statement,
I think a stronger statement would be self-immolation.

In Atlanta over the May 29 weekend, former movie producer, Bette Midler manager/paramour and Nevada gubernatorial candidate Aaron Russo -- who entered the Libertarian Party's national convention as the front-runner for the presidential nomination -- was doing himself no favors on the convention floor. Vin, you did yourself no favors with this paragraph.

the worst kind of voter is one that votes for a party not a candidate. the story proves that those voting Libertarian think that if elected the Lib President would have some authority. not likely in a government controlled by the two parties.

Since half the country doesn't bother voting at all, I've never understood why anyone gets upset with people who choose to vote for a third party candidate. If you're concerned your candidate won't receive enough votes...go out and convince the non-voting public to vote for you.
