On the contrary. I think with the polarization of the Democrat party into moderate and liberal, the moderates will come over to the Republicans ala the reagan Democrats.
Tell me! I happily reside in one of the more honest counties in Texas, and I still personally know students at the local college who register at their parents' and also here. Democrat logo; vote early and often. Unfortunately, federal law under motor voter act makes it damned near impossible to prevent that vote. I have been a precinct election judge for 12 years, and this is an unending source of frustration. We do now have a "first time voter" rule, and we have simplified challenged voter rules, but legally, I am required to allow people I know personally to be unqualified to vote.
Come on, people, this is good stuff. The Rats surprised the GOP in 2000 with massive vote fraud. Fortunately, it did not cost Bush the election. Ed Gillespie is simply putting them on notice NOW that we won't be fooled again, and it won't take another Florida for our side to shine a light on their dirty doings. Gillespie is showing that the GOP knows what the rats are up to and the RNC is putting mechanisms of its own in place to stop the fraud and embarrass the crap out of Kerry and the Democrats on Election Day. I am tickled to death to be hearing about vote fraud this far out from November. I don't think Gillespie, and certainly not Marc Racicot (remember how hard he fought and beat the Gorons over the military votes in Florida??) are going to fold under a few cries of "racist" from the left. That dog won't hunt anymore.
Marc Racicot did not beat the Gorons over the absentee military vote because the ones that were thrown out were never counted. To this day those military votes have never been included in the vote total for Florida 2000. People SHOULD have gone to jail over that but instead the GOP continues to play kissy-face.
I and others reported internet socialists a-cheatin' in the last senator race in MN...can't quite remember what the deal was, but a group was soliciting students to live here for 30 days or whatever the minimum requirements was, then they'd all get bussed to the polls.

Is vote fraud, or tampering a criminal offense?
Have there been convictions?
Why is it assumed that only one party has, or will engage in vote manipulation?
Don't forget we lost a Presidential race in 1960 and would not have the immigration mess or the Great Society if Nixon had rightfully gotten the Presidency.
While it's natural to assume the worst with the mass media bombarding us incessantly with gloom and doom, reality coincides overwhelmingly with EZ's assessment.
Who'da thunk that the Governator would replace Gay Davis and that the margin of victory would be so large. I live amongst the fruits & nuts of Kalifornia, and I heard no overwhelming outcry prior to the recall. Yet, the voters spoke, no, they screamed nonetheless.
Pessimism is all that the anti-American democRAT party has to offer this fall. What improvements can such individuals void of courage, conviction, and morality offer in these onerous times? Can empty promises based upon blatant falsehood maintain their appeal throughout the campaign season?
Now, everything is cast in black and white. The days of gray are only a vague memory since issues of life and death took preeminence.

This article explains in detail why every conservative, whether they support third parties or not, should at least participate in drives to get smaller conservative parties on the ballot. Signature drives. Why is this? Real simple. At least in North Carolina, and I'm sure it's this way in many states, any party that has a presence in a county of over a certain percentage (something like .1%) if the party gets on the ballot in the state, then that county election board has to have two members from that party. So, imgaine, if you will, every election board in North Carolina (and replicate across the nation) with two Democraps, two Republicans, two Libertarians, two Constitution Party members, two Patriot Party members, and two greens. Voter fraud would be nearly zero for most of those counties. Why? Because the conservative parties outweigh the liberals. The conservative parties work the system by getting on the boards and then the Democrats can't pull their BS fraud any more.
But, because most of you won't even consider that a third party could be helpful, then it won't happen.

In Philly, the dead rise on All Saints Day and Election Day. The GOP bosses had darn well better be the most watchful they've ever been this year, because, mark my words, the read will *really* rise this year. We'd better have boots on the ground in every precinct in Philly and limousine-liberal Montgomery County or we're in for a nasty shock.
