How abortion is costing the Democrats voters--literally.
Monday, June 28, 2004 12:01 a.m.
These numbers will not change. They are based on individual choices made--aggregated nationally--as long as 30 years ago. Look inside these numbers at where the political impact is felt most. Do Democrats realize that millions of Missing Voters--due to the abortion policies they advocate--gave George W. Bush the margin of victory in 2000?

That's the very reason the 'Rats are pushing for driver's licenses for illegals so they can register to vote after they get the license!(at least that's what's happening in CA)

This is God's revenge on the Democrat party. His image is not to be trifled with.

They tend to absorb the values of their parents. They tend to have the same political views as their family (parents, siblings, immediate relatives) and share common views on political causes. They tend to develop the same lifestyle as their family.
It seems to me that all of the conclusions that this article comes to are based on this assumption. It may or may not be true, but I would think that this phenomenon would have to be quantified (statistics showing what percentage of children grow up to be politically like their parents) and factored in for this to be scientifically meaningful at all.
On the other hand, if this is a way just to say, "See, the Dems are killing themselves off by aborting their future constituents, ha, ha," then I suppose the above doesn't matter much...

This is intereting. I didn't read it in its entirety, but want to pass along one observation.
Nearly every woman that I know, who has also had an abortion, (about 15 women) now regrets that decision. So much so, they are now pro-life and only support those candidates that are pro-life.
I would say the abortions are helping the GOP.

So were the Clinton years God's revenge on the Republican party?

They were His punishment for turning to paganism after the gift of the end of
Communism was given to us.

Excellent.
Does this explain, though, the liberal bias towards open borders? Bringing in foreigners to replace the children they refused to have?

This would seem to be a perfect time to announce that my wife GOPHACK and I are the proud newparents of our FIFTH child, ElkGroveMark who was born June 18th, weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 inches in length.
Its all part of along term Republican voter registration project.

Well, congradulations! No wonder we haven't seen Gophack around.

Nearly every woman that I know, who has also had an abortion, (about 15 women) now regrets that decision. So much so, they are now pro-life and only support those candidates that are pro-life. The bias here is in the "that I know" part. You know people (know them well enough to know that they ave had an abortion) who are politically like you.

More Excepts from this excellent article:
Table 2: Missing Republicans vs. Missing Democrats
Party % of total abortions % of party w/abortions Party as % of electorate Party loss/gain
Republican 35% 28% 39% +4
Independent 16% 30% 17%
Democrat 49% 36% 44% -5
This tells us:
Republicans have fewer abortions than their proportion of the population, Democrats have more than their proportion of the population. Democrats account for 30% more abortions than Republicans (49% vs. 35%).
The more ideologically Democratic the voters are (self-identified liberals), the more abortions they have. The more ideologically Republican the voters are (self-identified conservatives), the fewer abortions they have.

If you accept the statistical premise of this article, you have to accept the statistical premise that a major factor in the decline in crime rates of the 1990s was the legalization of abortion in the 1970s, which I suspect many people on this thread would not like to do.

When is someone going to ask the current Kerry wife how many abortions she, personally, has had?
