That'd be terrific. Kerry would make a lot of Republicans happy too, if he picked Edwards. It'd be a mistake---no way can he claim Edwards is better fit than anyone else to step into the presidency, if necessary.

Edwards would be the democrats' Dan Quail. Everything they accused Quail of could be thrown right back at them...especially given the stature of Cheney (who is no Lord Benson).

No not really. In my entire years of Veep debates Lloyd Besten line is the only thing I can remember. I doubt that the Cheney v whoever will be remembered by anyone either.
