Entirely different kind of Democrat than what we have today.
I know that. You know that. But the Democrats have been playing the race card for so long that a lot of their own people have forgotten it. I live in D.C. and usually pass out literature at the polls. I have some first hand experience as to how virulent the blood libel is at the street level.
I usually don't go as far back as the Civil War, but my current line is that "George Wallace was a Democrat, Lester Maddox was a democrat, the Klan was all Democrats, Bull Conner was a Democrat, Bull Conner's dogs were Democrats ....
