Listen, do you think the Democrats can send enough legal muscle over to Baghdad to represent Saddam Hussein, so he could get sprung, and the charges against him dismissed? They did a pretty good job of getting the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" out of an uncommonly sticky legal situation, and even made him look like something of a hero doing it.
With a little more maneuvering, it may even be possible for the Democrats to get Saddam sufficiently rehabilitated that he could consider returning to the Maximum Leader business. It would be good practice at getting their own campaign mounted here in the US.
