You have to wonder what is going throught the people's minds. This animal's face was on the only TV, front page of every newspaper, in every town, on the money, in kiddie's textbooks and otherwise omnipresent for over 25 years. 1 in 6 Iraqis know someone killed, mutilated or tortured by his regime. Now, they watch him receiving charges like any other criminal (save for the high profile). What are they thinking? Bless the innocents and may justice be done...
They probably thought this day would never happen. That even the most powerful tyrants in the end must submit to the rule of law and be held to account for their crimes. Its a turning point in Iraq's history and in the history of the Middle East.
