without googling at this time, can we as conservatives like liberals and agree with some of what they have to say? FWIW, I think that many people got caught up in the Tawana Bradley thing...I think it could be a case of getting caught up in the moment.

These days, the distinction between the words racism, prejudice and bigotry seem to be disappearing into the sands of ignorance.

Neal Boortz frequently has a lot of fun playing with the minds of people who call in and misuse the word "racist" by asking them to supply a definition-

when they do so, they're inevitably wrong.

In short:

If you think that one race is inherently superior to another, that's racism.

If you don't like a group of people because of their race or characteristics, that's prejudice.

If you maintain your beliefs in spite of facts or logical arguments that disprove them, that's bigotry.

In the dictionary:

Main Entry: rac·ism
Pronunciation: 'rA-"si-z&m also -"shi-
Function: noun
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

- rac·ist /-sist also -shist/ noun or adjective
Main Entry: 1prej·u·dice
Pronunciation: 'pre-j&-d&s

synonym see PREDILECTION
Main Entry: big·ot·ry
Pronunciation: 'bi-g&-trE

Good question. My understanding is that, statistically speaking, crimes against white victims are slightly more likely to be solved than crimes against black victims. There is a good chance this is due to better cooperation with the cops.

Since white on black crime is very rare and black on black crime is very common, this means that black perpetrators are significantly less likely to be arrested for a given crime than a white criminal.

But you won't get any of this from the standard media.

Cosby is a racist. But that's OK, everyone is a racist.

I don't agree with you ... put some facts behind your labels.

The mother knows better, but she apparently doesn't want him to "act white" like his cousin

This attitude is so common, it is unbelievable. Even among Blacks who have risen out of poverty and live in nice neighborhoods, who value their good homes and fine lifestyles, will not recognize the criminality of their ghetto breatheren.

One of my neighbors here in Cincinnati, a black now on the city council, said during the riots three years ago that if one of those thugs showed up on his door, he'd shoot him and call another white neighbor to help pull him in the house so the shooting would be legal. But now on council, he's as bad as they come in blaming cops for everything wrong in the ghetto. Sadly, once a "racial slur word" always a "racial slur word".

That's what makes Cosby so unique. But even he still hasn't come full circle to the reality of cause and effect. He thinks parents alone can make the difference. But they can't, not with police handcuffed by Blacks and liberal politicians who still win elections by catering to Black victimology.

You either give cops the ability to make arrests without a constant fear of NAACP backlash, or you resort to vigilanties and personal guns (CC is now law in Ohio), or you give up and move elsewhere.

How many more years of strife, inner city deterioration, record numbes of killings (as we have here), and rampant Black on Black crime (with rising numers of Black on White crime) will it take before Jackson and his ilk, and even Cosby, realize that Blacks have to act like Whites (i.e., obey the same laws) before they'll be able to become truly free.

Cosby needs to wake up and smell the political winds. White Democrats are still in favor of slavery, as they were in the 1860's and the 1960's (i.e., Al Gore's father), in whatever form it takes. Only Repulicans can truly make them free.

Cosby also said that he wasn't concerned that some whites took his comments and turned them "against our people."

He may have seen part of the light but he's still telling nasty little lies which perpetuate divisiveness and thus undermine his message (all white conservatives are white supremacists).
