WASHINGTON (AP) - An Amtrak train bound from Miami to New York was halted in Washington for more than an hour Saturday as authorities investigated a possible threat. Train 92, the Silver Star, left Miami at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham said graffiti found at the Amtrak station in Orlando later that day prompted security officials to stop the train when it arrived at Washington's Union Station on Saturday afternoon.
Graham said she could not confirm media reports that the graffiti was a message in Arabic that referred to Washington and the Fourth of July.
More than 160 passengers were taken off the train as canine units inspected the cars.
Nothing suspicious was found, and no one was arrested. Passengers were allowed to reboard the train after about an hour and 20 minutes.

The Miami-to-NY Amtrack train makes a stop at Alexandria, Virginia just prior to arriving at Washington DC's Union Station. Northern Virginia has a few al Quaida cells. Who's to say they didn't get off in Alexandria?
Wasn't there an incident similar to this the other day? It was in the US and also graffitti related.

I don't know, with the terror alert level not being raised? this could have simply been a reaction to the graffiti, not surprising really, some american islamic wanna-be jihadis could run alot of pranks like this.
Yesterday VOC was driving the Flag car Cavalier with the top down and he could hear the people in the minivan with their windows closed next to him yelling in Arabic and looking at him with total disgust. There were 4 arabs in the minivan. He took the license plate down just in case anything happens to the car.
If it left at 10:30, 3:00pm according to Amtrak's timetables.
Wonder what the graffitti said. Probably "Kerry must win" being that only two types would write that, Kerry volunteers and Al-Qaida.
